Iron District is a food and retail container park in North Kansas City, MO.
The challenge: Use social media to build awareness and excitement about this new, unknown venue in order to ensure a successful opening and make customers want to be there. The goal was to have 1000 Instagram followers before they opened.
The Approach
Between March and December I created/wrote/posted 90 social media posts for both Facebook and Instagram, sharing construction updates, highlighting vendors and building excitement for what was to come. Over that period of time, Instagram followers grew from 0 to over 4700, and Facebook likes grew from 600 to over 5300. Most of the posts were created from my original photography or graphics.
